The Level 2 technician is the first-line of support and response to client service requests. Level 2 technicians provide direct one-on-one phone based and on-site support to clients. They begin the process of characterizing and diagnosing customer problems by collecting information via direct questioning and utilizing a variety of remote access tools. Then, the Level 2 technician applies logical troubleshooting methodologies along with IT knowledge and experience to resolve the issue and close the case or escalate the issue as appropriate.

Please note: this position is for an on-site representative at an Atlanta, Georgia client site.

Knowledge

Level 2 technicians should have a solid understanding of Microsoft technologies and Active Directory, Domain infrastructures, networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, etc.), software installation procedures, basic PC hardware, and basic internet technologies. The Level 2 technician should also have an aptitude for server and desktop operating systems and repairs.

Education

  • Minimum 2 year associate degree with focus in Information Technology Fundamentals.
  • Microsoft and Cisco Certifications may be considered as equivalent.

Experience

The Level 2 technician should have a minimum of 2+ years of experience as an IT staff member or support representative.

In addition to the qualifications listed above, Level 2 technicians should:

  • Possess good communications skills
  • Be team players
  • Consistently exhibit a highly positive attitude

Job Type: Full-time

*Must live in the southern Atlanta metropolitan area. Requires 50% on-site at company location, 50% work from home. Must have high speed internet connection at home.

Level 1 Technician Description

The Level 1 technician is the entry level support position. Level 1 technicians answer inbound phone service requests. The Level 1 technicians verify service eligibility, confirm customer information and document issue descriptions used to generate service tickets. The Level 1 technician also performs basic PC level troubleshooting and remediation. Level 1 technicians are given time and resources required for continued professional development and resulting advancement opportunities.

Please note: the individual filling this position must work from within our Paducah, Kentucky office.

Knowledge

Level 1 Technicians should have a basic understanding of computer networking fundamentals as well as basic PC hardware knowledge. Level 1 technicians should have solid written and oral communication skills.

Education

High School Diploma required. Additional IT related education desirable.

Experience

Practical, real-world experience is preferred, but not a requirement for this entry level position.
