The Senior IT Technician position will facilitate a dual role, providing Sales Engineering services to the sales team, and providing technical services to the service desk team.  The Senior IT Technician is primarily a telework position.  However, it also requires periodic onsite consultation and technical services.


Sales Engineer Role

  • Perform extensive audits and assessments of existing IT infrastructure and environments
  • Interview existing and prospective clients to develop an in depth understanding of strategic business objectives, culture, business challenges, operations, etc.
  • Identify risks, deficiencies and improvement opportunities
  • Design appropriate technology systems and enhancements that optimize the IT infrastructure’s ability to support the overall current and long-term business objectives and streamline operations.  Design includes equipment specifications, configuration specifications, implementation plans, documentation, etc.
  • Work intimately with sales team to prepare and deliver technical sales presentations, translating and explaining highly complex technical information to customers and potential customers

Service Desk Technician Role

  • Provide onsite support to Dallas area customers when physical presence is required during incident resolution processes
  • The Service Desk technicians provide direct one-on-one phone based, chat based, and on-site support to clients. They begin the process of characterizing and diagnosing customer problems by collecting information via direct questioning and utilizing a variety of best-in-class remote access and systems management tools. The Service Desk technician then applies logical troubleshooting methodologies along with IT knowledge and practical abilities to resolve and close service incidents or escalate them as appropriate.
  • The Dallas Technician may provide Tier 2 incident escalation services

Knowledge/Skills Required

  • Minimum 8 Years Experience in IT, with 2+ year experience as a senior level technician
  • Microsoft Technologies and Active Directory  
  • Domain Infrastructures
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services Infrastructure Design and Deployment
  • Microsoft Azure Solutions Development and Administration
  • Microsoft Hyper-V Design, Deployment, Optimization and Administration
  • Networking Fundamentals (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VPN Technologies, VLANS, etc.) 
  • Firewall Configuration Design, Deployment, Optimization and Administration
  • Automated Software Installation
  • Basic PC Hardware  
  • Basic Internet Technologies  
  • Server and Desktop Operating Systems
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills, Including Excellent Presentation Skills


  • 4-year degree with Information Technologies focus preferred.  2-year degree with Information Technologies focus and Microsoft and Cisco Certifications and/or extensive experience and demonstrated knowledge and practical abilities may be considered as equivalent. 

Telework Requirements

  • High Speed Broadband Internet Connectivity
  • Sufficient Mobile Device Carrier Coverage
  • Suitable workspace within the remote work location that is free from hazards to equipment and telecommute personnel.  Workspace must also facilitate privacy and provide suitable work environment free from distraction and conducive to productivity and focus.

Level 1 Technician Description

The Level 1 technician is the entry level support position. Level 1 technicians answer inbound phone service requests. The Level 1 technicians verify service eligibility, confirm customer information and document issue descriptions used to generate service tickets. The Level 1 technician also performs basic PC level troubleshooting and remediation. Level 1 technicians are given time and resources required for continued professional development and resulting advancement opportunities.

Please note: the individual filling this position must work from within our Paducah, Kentucky office.


Level 1 Technicians should have a basic understanding of computer networking fundamentals as well as basic PC hardware knowledge. Level 1 technicians should have solid written and oral communication skills.


High School Diploma required. Additional IT related education desirable.


Practical, real-world experience is preferred, but not a requirement for this entry level position.
