IT Field Technician Description

The role of the IT Field Technician is to provide technical leadership and onsite support to deliver excellent service to Kalleo customers.  This role is often the face of Kalleo Technologies to our customers and must build confidence with each interaction!  The IT Field Technician serves as an escalation point for our Managed Services team when an onsite presence is required.  This role will often take sole ownership of onsite tickets related to workstations and end-user peripherals and may work with senior-level resources, as needed, for infrastructure-related tickets. Two or more years of solid technical experience is highly desired as this role will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining customer applications and environments including but not limited to Windows servers, Domain environments (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, File services, Print services, etc.), RDS, Citrix, Cloud, and virtual environments, EMR/LoB applications, etc. This role will be expected to be able to provide incident resolution, service request fulfillment, and problem determination, and produce and maintain documentation, etc.

We are looking for individuals who are eager to learn, highly customer-focused, patient, an effective communicator, self-initiating, has a positive attitude, and can prioritize and execute tasks without micro-management.

Please note: the individual filling this position must work from within our Paducah, Kentucky office.

Essential Responsibilities 

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Create and manage tickets through a ticketing system.
  • Technically and relationally manage complex problems.
  • Help ensure day-to-day operations of IT Infrastructure.
  • Answer Inbound Service calls, as necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and administer Windows-based applications, Operating Systems (desktop and server), and Server Roles (AD DS, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Print Server, File Server, etc.).
  • Perform virus and malware remediation.
  • Assist with computer and server imaging / build-outs and deployments, as needed.
  • Troubleshoot MFP/scanner/fax.
  • Deploy and configure printers.
  • Complete or update technical documentation of installed/configured equipment.
  • Troubleshoot network infrastructure (WiFi, switches, firewalls, etc.).
  • Work includes occasional weekend or after-hours’ time, when necessary.
  • Serve in on-call rotation, as needed.
  • Participate in periodic technical meetings.
  • Training and mentorship of junior team members.
  • Completion of a yearly training plan and/or certifications, as required.
  • Perform any other task or duty as assigned or required.

Education - Desired

Associates Degree in Computer Science / related field or certifications listed above.

Senior Project Technician Description

The Sr. Project Technician will work on projects primarily to include Windows server migrations including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Sites and Services, Domains and Trusts, File Shares, Print Servers, Line of Business applications specific to client environments (with support). They will install and configure MS SQL including backup and restoration of databases.  They must have the ability to follow processes and procedures for onboarding new clients, including the installation of management software, discovery of new client environments, etc.

Project Coordinator Description

The Project Coordinator is responsible for the administration and organization of project activities. This individual must handle a high volume and fast pace, as well as communicate effectively both internally and externally.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Manage project scope and client expectations.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Facilitate issue and problem resolutions.
  • Manage change order requests.
  • Communicate with clients to identify and define project requirements.
  • Prepare project time frames and schedules.
  • Use project management tools to monitor, schedule, and track activities.
  • Assist with compiling reporting data for project portfolio.
  • Plan and prioritize work assignments.

The Level 1 Help Desk Technician position is a full-time position at Kalleo Technologies. We are rapidly expanding our Help Desk Services, and we are searching for qualified candidates to join the team. The core responsibilities of a Level 1 technician are responding to service requests via phone, email, chat, etc., confirming customer information, and creating service tickets with clear and thorough documentation, and providing first level troubleshooting and problem resolution. This position also includes real time monitoring of end points and servers across our entire client base.

Knowledge

An ideal candidate will have a fundamental knowledge and understanding of basic networking and Windows environment fundamentals. Additional tasks performed include Active Directory password changes, Office 365 password changes, application password changes, patch management, backup management, etc.

Job Type

Remote Level 1 Help Desk Technician Description
