On January 2020 Microsoft will officially end extended support for Windows 7, Windows Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 and Exchange Server 2010. Organizations compelled to continue using these systems/ devices will no longer have any protection, creating potential security vulnerabilities for their organization and its users. To top things off organizations will also begin to see their software and hardware, vendors discontinue support for these products as well, creating a potentially vicious cycle for their critical business applications.
For companies where compliance is critical to their operations, compliance standards may no longer be met at the end of support, such as:
- PCI-DSS for credit card transactions
- HIPAA for medical patient privacy
- GLBA for financial institutions
The process of upgrading these platforms across an entire organization can be time-consuming and with January 2020 right around the corner, the time to contact Kalleo about a path forward could never be more important. Whether your organization is needing to move users from Windows Server 2008, Server 2008 R2 to Server 2016 or even a cloud-based solution like Microsoft Azure, we are here to help.
